Thousands of people transfer money abroad on a daily basis for both personal and business reasons.  When I first looked into transferring money abroad, I was at first wary as to whether:

• The money would arrive at its destination.
• The fees would be too high.
• The transaction would be secure

However these concerns proved to be unfounded and I have had several good transactions since.  If you, like me are concerned about transferring money abroad for the above reasons let me tell you about my experiences.

ü  First of all money transfers happen almost instantly although in some areas they do take a few days.  When you transfer money you will be given a receipt and a tracking order so you can see where your money is at all times.  Making sure you have the correct details and are selecting the right transfer option should ensure a quick and trouble-free transaction.

ü  Secondly, the fees are a lot lower than you would expect.  These include the currency exchange rate and the commission you will be expected to pay to the transfer company.  This will vary from company to company and from bank to bank although I have found it to be more than affordable.

ü  I’ll be honest, I do still worry about the safety of transferring money abroad and for this reason is vital to make sure you use a reputable company that has been in business for a good number of years.  Large transactions should be given additional security by the company so that you can ensure your accounts and/or credit card number is protected.

If you make sure that you research a company before working with them, you should have nothing to worry about when it comes to bank transfers, credit card payments and transferring money abroad.
